The Rev. Mary B. Thorpe to serve as Deacon-in-Charge

St. Gabriel's Vestry Committee is very pleased to announce that Bishop Jones has agreed to appoint our own former seminarian, the Rev. Mary B. Thorpe, to minister to us as Deacon-in-Charge on an interim basis. Mary will serve with us until we call a new Vicar or she finds a permanent position elsewhere. Michael Sean Hodges Memorial Service

A memorial service for Mike "Dawg" Hodges, Harv and Char's son, will be held at St. James' Episcopal Church in Leesburg, VA. All who love and support Harv and Char are invited to attend to celebrate Mike's life.

2009-2010 ST GABRIEL'S VESTRY had a productive retreat at Meadowkirk Retreat Center in Middleburg last weekend. Please contact any vestry member if you have any questions or would like to share any ideas or concerns for the coming year. The new positions for the current vestry are:

· Worship Support - Jodi Moore

St. Gabriel’s – E-Giving Website

Now it is even easier to be good stewards than it was before!  You never have to worry again about writing that check before church or making sure you have your pledge money with you.  You can now log on to our new E-Giving Web Site and set up automatic payments for your contributions to the church.  Just go to https://e-giving.org.  Simply put in the zip code for St. Gabriel’s, 20176, in the area on the left of the screen and hit “Submit”.  Our church name and address will come up in the middle of the next page that opens.  “St Gabriel’s Episcopal Church – 14 Cornwall St. NW, Leesburg, VA 20176”   Click on it, and it will open to a log in page where you can establish a user name and password.  From there you will be able to easily set up automatic payments on a periodic basis, or make a contribution on line at any time. 

You can even complete special giving transactions, such as providing money for the building fund.  You can choose to set it up through the use of your credit or debit card.  It is quick, easy, and efficient.  We invite each of you to go check out the web site and participate in e-giving to St. Gabriel’s.
