Web Site Moving

The Saint Gabriel's Web site will be moving in the next few days.  It is being redesigned and will look quite a bit different.  We are joining the Diocese and other churches within the Diocese in using a new service provider and web page facilities.  The new site will be must easier to keep updated and more informative for the people who are interested in our church and our activities.  Look for the new site soon.

HELPING HAITI

You may be surprised to know that the Episcopal Church has a significant presence in Haiti, and Diocese of Virginia missioner The Rev. Lauren Stanley serves there. The terrible earthquake has caused death and destruction in that troubled but beautiful place. Your prayers are of paramount importance! Please also consider helping in relief efforts by donating to Episcopal Relief and Development. Their online giving page is https://www.er-d.org/GiveNow/ . The need is great. As the Diocese of Virginia formulates a plan for further aid to Haiti, we will keep you informed.

The Rev. Mary Brennan Thorpe Is Now Interim Vicar

On Sunday, December 6th, The Rt. Rev. Shannon S. Johnston, Thirteenth Bishop of Virginia, ordained The Rev. Mary Brennan Thorpe to the Sacred Order of Priests. Accordingly, Mary's title at St. Gabriel's has changed from Deacon-in-Charge to Interim Vicar. Mary will continue to serve with us during our time of transition as pastor, preacher, teacher, and administrator.

St. Gabriel’s – E-Giving Website

Now it is even easier to be good stewards than it was before!  You never have to worry again about writing that check before church or making sure you have your pledge money with you.  You can now log on to our new E-Giving Web Site and set up automatic payments for your contributions to the church.  Just go to https://e-giving.org.  Simply put in the zip code for St. Gabriel’s, 20176, in the area on the left of the screen and hit “Submit”.  Our church name and address will come up in the middle of the next page that opens.  “St Gabriel’s Episcopal Church – 14 Cornwall St. NW, Leesburg, VA 20176”   Click on it, and it will open to a log in page where you can establish a user name and password.  From there you will be able to easily set up automatic payments on a periodic basis, or make a contribution on line at any time. 

You can even complete special giving transactions, such as providing money for the building fund.  You can choose to set it up through the use of your credit or debit card.  It is quick, easy, and efficient.  We invite each of you to go check out the web site and participate in e-giving to St. Gabriel’s.
