Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA) is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in Loudoun County dedicated to saving abandoned dogs & cats. We have provided rescue, medical care, rehabilitation, compassion and adoption services since 1973. Our shelter typically houses more than 100 dogs of all ages, breeds (including mutts!), shapes and sizes. FOHA’s cattery shelters up to 30 cats and kittens. Approximately 500 dogs and cats are adopted to permanent, loving homes each year. Help us continue! Imagine living in an abandoned, rotten trailer in the woods- nobody to love you, or feed you, or help you. Imagine being a puppy thrown into a dumpster. Or, your family deserting you at a truck stop. Or, somebody tying you to a Stop sign at a busy intersection on a day that is 103 degrees. Try to imagine your family deciding they do not want to deal with you being old and sick, so they take you to the pound...FOHA saves animals in these situations (and worse) everyday! |
