Friends of Loudoun Mental Health has served people with mental health issues for over 30 years. Each recipient is actively involved in a mental health recovery program. We believe in recovery aided by c ommunity support and advocacy. We advocate for improvements in the mental health field, educate our community by enlisting leaders and speakers to interact and talk to our community and focus on fundraising to support our primary programs, A Place To Call Home and A Helping Hand "Some people with a mental health challenge do not have homes or people to help them out of the darkness of their minds. Hope alone does not provide basic human needs. People filled with hope matched with action create an integrity that reaches beyond the limitations of a mentally challenged person and provides them with a slice of dignity while they struggle with the day to day task of everyday living." |
