The Good Shepherd Alliance (GSA) is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization that has been providing emergency housing, transitional housing, food, clothing, transportation, job referral assistance and counseling for the homeless since 1983.   GSA strives to assist the homeless to become stable enough to afford to live on their own during the transitional period.  The main thrust is to focus each person on securing a permanent living situation in the community and empowering them to become self-sufficient.  GSA believes in the inherent dignity of all human life and the right of every individual to obtain decent affordable housing.  By combining our community resources we can increase the quality of all in need regardless of sex, race, color, religion, disability conditions or national origin.  GSA continues to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ for families and individuals that need support during their time of crisis.

A single mother came to our office looking for shelter. “ I had nothing, no job, money or transportation.  At the exit interview meeting she said: “with a shelter monitor to walk alongside of me and the life skill classes, I got a job and saved enough money for my own place. Thank you for helping me to grow and take responsibility for my life.”
