La Voz of Loudoun serves as a conduit between Hispanic and Immigrant populations and government, nonprofit, and other groups in order to promote self-sufficiency through outreach, education, and programs that strengthen family networks. The following seven La Voz programs assist the Spanish-speaking and Immigrant populations in the integration process: La Voz of Loudoun – A Community Newsletter, Leadership Development, Community Forums and Dialogues, Consultations and Trainings, English as a Second Language (ESL), Emergency Preparedness in Spanish, and an annual Family Festival/Men’s Soccer Tournament. Since 2005, La Voz of Loudoun has
collaborated with other county agencies by giving adults the opportunity
learn English through our English and Family Integration Program. One of
our students brought her nine year old daughter to translate for her the day
of registration and her daughter explained to our volunteers that her
“mother’s main goal was to learn how to read, write and speak English so she
could be self sufficient and she could get a job in an office”. Our
