Building Relationships

                Alpha Retreat, 2002

A part of Saint Gabriel’s vision is to be a place where relationships are built and nurtured. Each new person is invited into the community through gracious hospitality and warm, friendly conversation. Together, we develop friendships and deepen our relationships through small groups, community service, fellowship events and classes. The very earliest Christians didn't have church buildings. They met instead in each other's homes to share the apostles' teaching and fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayers (Acts 2:42-47). We do much the same.

They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers… Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved. (Acts 2: 42-47)
