Encountering God

Worship

Saint Gabriel's Episcopal Church is a Christian community where people of all different backgrounds and experiences encounter the triune God in inspiring weekly worship that is firmly rooted in ancient Christian tradition of Word and Sacrament. Our worship is a "Present-Tense Traditional" service that combines our anciently-rooted liturgy with a wide variety of excellent music, from favorite hymns to the newest worship pieces. Sermon messages make biblical truths applicable to your daily life. We invite people to dress casually, and we don't mind kids in soccer gear, or dads in blue jeans. Furthermore, we promise to not embarrass you, make you stand up or introduce yourself, or make you feel out of place even if you haven't been to church for a very long time. No matter who you are or where you've been, you are most welcome!

Children Encounter God

Children are important at St. Gabriel’s! Each Sunday, children ages 4 - 10 are invited to join the pastor for a short prayer and conversation before heading to Children’s Chapel during the adult sermon. Children rejoin their parents for communion. In addition, a monthly two hour Faith Zone combines lunch, bible stories, and fun activity zones into a fun way our kids encounter God. Quality Nursery Care is available for all our activities. Find out more out our Children’s programs here.

Encountering God in  Discipleship

Christian Discipleship means following Christ, and conforming all areas of our life to be like Christ. Small Group gatherings, which often meet in members’ homes, are excellent places for us to explore with others how God wishes to relate to us personally and change our lives for the better. For those just beginning to explore the Christian faith, or for those looking for a refresher class, we offer the Alpha Course. Other Classes and Special offerings deepen our knowledge of God and help us encounter him in new and different ways. We also recognize God’s desire to be part of our daily lives when we share our hopes and dreams with God and invite his presence with us in house blessings and land blessings.
