On Thursday, July 16th, the Diocese of Virginia notified us that St. Gabriel's~San Gabriel can officially occupy the Church of Our Redeemer in Aldie, VA!

After various attempts to move the 10am English language service from the BRMS cafeteria, Our Redeemer happened. It's a win-win: the Diocese doesn't want vacant churches and St. Gabriel’s wants a spiritual home to grow our English service, and later our Spanish service and administrative office – which will also reduce our fixed costs.

The Diocese will cover the deferred maintenance needed for the certificate of occupancy. Fr. Daniel asked Rob Buchanan and Dave Butler, along with George Lebranche from the former Our Redeemer congregation, to serve as "project managers" working as intermediaries with the Vestry, vendors, and tradespeople — all three were happy to serve!

The natural question is “when will the 10am worship be launched in Aldie?” We don't have an answer yet; it'll become clearer as we do the repairs and obtain the certificate of occupancy. Meanwhile, join us this Sunday to thank God at 10am (Belmont Ridge Middle School — cafeteria entrance in back) or at 3pm at St. James’. What a blessing — thank you, God!
