New AC on the Way ❄️💨 The failed AC system in the Parish Hall has been removed, and preparations have begun for installing the new one. The new equipment has already arrived on-site!
Fire Door: Almost There 🤞🏻🔥 The company handling the Fire Door repair came out this week to work with our team on final preparations. Fingers crossed, the fix happens this coming Thursday!
Flooring, Take Two 👣🪵 We met with another flooring company this week, who came out with lots of great ideas — and they particularly loved our church sanctuary.
Sealing Up the Solution1 💦⛪️ The foundation company came out to inspect the now-solved cause of the leak. They'll be back in the coming weeks for waterproofing, before we seal everything back up for good.
A Week of Figuring Things Out 🔌💡🪭🚰 Between electrical wires, lighting, fans, and water valves, it was a week of getting into the details — the kind of behind-the-scenes work that doesn't always make headlines but keeps everything moving forward.
Fund for the Future 💵 This week, our Endowment Committee initiated the first transfer from our "St. Gabriel's Fund for the Future" to help cover some of the upgrade and moving expenses that the Diocese won't be covering. The fund was established several years ago by a generous donor, right as we began our journey toward a permanent home — set up for exactly this purpose: the expenses of preparing for, and moving into, our new home.
Finally, a Nice Surprise from Our New Neighbors 🖥️ We visited the Aldie Heritage Association's website to look up information on exterior standards — and found ourselves featured on their homepage, with a link to our site. Thanks, neighbors!
